Wild Boar Creek takes its name from Prek Chrook, a rural village in southeastern Cambodia
(Prey Veng province) dear to the heart of the company's founder, Ira Dassa, who lived and worked in
Cambodia for several years. Ira founded Wild Boar Creek after returning to the U.S. in 1999.
Day-to-day running of the company is now handled by Ira's wife, Serey.

All of our products are handwoven/handmade by subsistence farmers, landmine victims,
widowed mothers and women heads-of-household, and other economically or otherwise disadvantaged Cambodians.
At present, we are working directly with craftspeople - individuals, families, and cooperatives - in approximately 12 villages,
as well as with several non-governmental organizations and handicraft shops.
We pay fair prices for our products, and are deeply committed to helping these talented artisans improve their standard of living.
Please browse our site to learn more
about the artisans and our fine Cambodian products.
